Welcome to the world of model and online entrepreneur Kevin Broda. Having clearly developed a stand out look for himself Kevin took to the world of online brand promotion, and what a great job of it he is doing. After collaborating with brands like DPFM and Hawkers Co he is taking this part of his career to new heights, whilst also including photography to his array of talents. We enjoyed watching his progress on Instagram so decided to catch up with him to hear more about it. Here's how it went...
For those that haven’t stumbled across your path already, can you please introduce yourself.
Hi, my name is Kevin, I’m 21, from Spain and I’m a photography enthusiast, model and web influencer.
So what does a day in the life of a young entrepreneur consist of?
A normal day in my life consists of hanging out with my friends, taking shots and trying to just have fun. I spend a lot of time on social media and I love to spend a lot of time with my camera.
Clearly you love photography but what are your top three interests?
I love the tattoo culture, especially the traditional style. I love travelling and of course photography.
It seems like we have a lot in common then haha! Are their any people who you would call a role model or inspiration?
I love the shots taken by Morgan Tedd and I'm in love with the style of the one and only, Haris Nukem. I'm inspired by so many photographers it's hard to choose... haha.
I think that anyone that has a passion for photography will be inspired by their work. They are both incredible at what they do. It doesn’t take long to realise you love tattoos, which one is your favourite and are their any that you regret?
My favourite one is... hmm... my chest, but the piece is not finished yet. I feel happy with each of my tattoos, I do not regret any of them.
I’m glad you don’t regret any of them, tattoo removal does not look fun!. Also, which one hurt the most?
Hmm... The most painful for me was the knee - it hurt a lot! I was having a bad day, had a headache, it was raining too... haha.
Damn that does sound like a bad day. A number of my friends have their knees done too, and each of them has said just how bad it is. I think I’ll try to find a way of avoiding getting mine done! How did being a promoter come about?
Some brands just started asking me if I wanted to model for them, sometimes at a cost, sometimes in exchange for some product, either way I love it. For me it’s one more reason to take pictures.
That’s wicked man, and free stuff is never bad! I see you work closely with a brand called Don’t Prey For Me, what is your relationship with them? Is it a brand of yours?
I am part of the brands image. They are doing great things, I love to collaborate with them. The brand and the entire team are awesome.
Ah ok, being the face of a brand must be cool. What has been your favourite brand to shoot for? Are there any that surprised you?
As I said, I love working with DPFM, we always do interesting and funny things. I love to take shots for Hawkers too, the team treats me really well and always have little things that surprise me. For those who don’t know the brand, they are a sunglasses brand, present all over the world. I feel very proud to collaborate with them too.
Bloody hell, that must be pretty awesome. And by the looks of your pictures you spend a lot of time in the sun so working with a sunglasses brand must be pretty handy. Are there any brands or photographers who you hope to work with in the future?
I haven’t got any particular aspirations, as having just one specific aspiration is just an illusion as I have a lot I want to accomplish. But I would love to work with as many brands and photographers as possible. I love what I do.
You not only look great in front of the camera, but you also take some awesome shots yourself. Is photography something you would like to develop into a career one day?
I feel good taking photos but photography is a hobby for me, I think my work is not good enough! haha.
Haha, don’t be so critical man. You are much better than most with a camera so have more belief in yourself! Do you ever find yourself struggling for inspiration or motivation to post on social media?
Usually I have clear ideas, but unfortunately sometimes it happens.
Ye I can imagine, even I struggle with it and I don’t actually have to take the photos I post. What are your main goals to accomplish within your career?
My goals are to continue to meet amazing people, do more with friends and have more great times with a lot of people, nothing much more than that.
I get that. Spending time and creating memories with friends is the best thing to do. Where do you hope to be in 12 months time?
I don’t know where, I don’t even know where I see myself tonight haha.
More importantly, what can we hope to see in the near future?
I'm going to be working with some clothing brands soon and I hope to continue growing with other brands.
Awesome man, I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled to see what you have going on.
