NICO & EDEN
If you haven’t already heard of the brand KUKI then where have you been for the last year?!
For those that must have been living under a rock allow me to introduce you. The brand is run by two dope ass creative minds, Nico and Eden, who had had enough of seeing mediocre brands make an imprint in the industry. They thought that they could be bigger and better, and that’s exactly what they have done. In just a short 12 months they’ve already surpassed, I think, even anything that they had expected.
A while back I was fortunate enough to pop down to their pop-up (aye, that sounds cool) the day before they were shutting it down, but wasn’t fortunate enough to be able to attend the closing party which looked like a real vibe. One thing I can confidently say is that they have managed to build a great personality for the brand, which is what some struggle to do, encompassing everything from the designs of their garments to the way they choose to decorate their pop-ups. This uniqueness is what is going to make them a staple for any ‘street wear’ enthusiast.
Whilst I was there I knew I had to buy something, so I went for the black hoodie with the KUKI logo on the chest. Bloody hell that thing is cosy! Not only does it make you feel like you’re being hugged all day it’s also one of the softest things I think I’ve ever worn. It’s just a win of an item to be honest. Now that winter is well and truly on its way I suggest that you all go and purchase one now.
If you follow the brand on Instagram then you may already be aware of this but incase your not then I’ll fill you in.
The guys are currently putting together a little suttin suttin for a fashion show to showcase their next drop. If their pop up was anything to go by then this wont be just a regular fashion show, they’re going to make it their own that’s for sure. And the tickets are only £10?! If that’s not a bargain then you best just go to poundland for the day. The show is on December 9th so you’ve got plenty of time to book the day off, find a child minder, what ever it is you have to do to be able to attend. You’ll only regret it if you don’t! (The link to buy a ticket to the show will be at the bottom of the page).
If you’re a fan of street wear, the urban lifestyle or just creative people in general then I would make sure that you are staying up to date with what these guys are up to. Out of all the people I have met on this journey, this dynamic duo are probably two of the most impressive people I have been lucky enough to cross paths with.
Peace and love,
